Gary
Peterson was one of the earliest auctioneers in North
America
Gary J. Peterson has over 30 years of experience in the auction industry. He is also immediate past President of the Auctioneers' Association of Canada, a position he also held in the 1980's. Gary's biography cites his extensive knowledge in the sale of antiques and collectibles, but this greatly understates his breadth of experience having conducted many major industrial sales as well during his long auction career.
They now sell a wide range of collectibles and antiques. They frequently acquire items from Western Canada which are highly marketable in Quebec and conversely move items more marketable in the West to contacts in Alberta.
Gary has been a mainstay of the Auctioneers' Association of Canada as a frequent Board Member over the past 30 years. He has also served two terms as President. His involvement with the auction profession doesn't end at the border. He is also a C.A.I. (Univ. of Indiana) and a member to the NAA.
Gary was especially pleased with highly successful recent auctions to benefit the Missing Children's Network and the Atlantic Salmon Foundation.
